Foreign Drawings

Many pieces from the European drawings are donated by acad. G. Oprescu.
The Italian and the French drawings form the main part of the collection, approx. 1,100 works of art, created by Tizian, Vasari, Guercino, Guardi, Salvator Rosa, Poussin, Fragonard, Bellage, Focillon, and so on. The French school drawing collection is the largest one, including works by E. Delacroix, M. Laurencien, P.Picasso, etc., and so on, only listing a few personalities of the French school, but also a few drawings of some minor artists who worked in the Romanian Principalities, as well as A. Raffet, Ch. Doussault, Th. Valerio.
